NY Nonprofit Attacks Global Issues Through Private Council on Foreign Relations Style Briefings

The Financial Policy Council is bringing a Council on Foreign Relations approach toward financial policy education through a series of private invitation-only briefings. On March 16th, Iranian American Fox News award-winning investigative journalist, Lisa Daftari, will speak with concerned business leaders & financiers and address how global terrorism is changing world markets, national security, and human rights. In addition to Fox News, Lisa has been featured on CBS, NBC, PBS, NPR, & more.

The Financial Policy Council is a New York 501(c)3 non-profit that is bringing a Council on Foreign Relations approach toward financial policy education through a series of private invitation-only briefings.

On March 16th, Iranian American investigative journalist, Lisa Daftari, will speak with concerned business leaders & financiers and address how global terrorism is changing world markets, national security, and human rights. Lisa is a Fox News award-winning journalist focusing on foreign affairs with expertise in the Middle East and counter-terrorism. In addition to her work with Fox News, Lisa has been featured on CBS, NBC, PBS, the Washington Post, NPR, ABC, Voice of America, and others.

The March 16th event marks the first of 6 events scheduled for the New York think tank whose active approach toward addressing key global issues is attracting interest across the spectrum. On April 8th, Kevin Freeman, one of the world’s leading experts on the issues of Economic Warfare and Financial Terrorism, will address the rising threat of cyber terrorism and how one can protect him or herself in the event of a cyber-economic attack.

Organized for action, the FPC’s mission is categorized by 4 key directives: Educate, Inform, Empower, and Bridge:

Educate policy makers and the public to enable them to support and recognize sound financial public policy, with a clear understanding of the issues of concern to entrepreneurs, investors and the public.

Inform entrepreneurs, investors, and the public of the roles they can play to ensure that their opinions are heard by policy makers.

Empower entrepreneurs, investors, and the public by creating a forum through which their voices can be clearly heard by and in Washington DC and abroad.

Bridge the chasm between Washington, Wall Street, and Main Street using sound, rational economic research and education.

Former speakers have included former CIA Director Jim Woolsey, Governor of Virginia Jim Gilmore, CATO Senior Fellow Doug Bandow, and many more.
